warehouse sorting

We’ve been very busy sorting the books out at our warehouse in Fairfield this month. Once again we’d like to say a very special thank you to Joe and Stephanie from Intellimail International who have been generous enough to offer us this space pro bono. This very generous gift of free space has enabled us to save a sizeable sum of money on rent, which has helped us divert much needed funding into our Books for Learning program.

We had ten helpful volunteers on the day, which allowed us to sort the books (100,000 surplus) into age groups ready to be sent out. We now have over nine pellets ready to go!!

Among our Volunteers was Sue Bacon who brought some of the team from the Bacchus Marsh Homework Club. We also had two members of the Golden Key Society, who are great supporters of our work.

It is thanks to regular help like this, that we can continue our Books for Learning program and deliver this vital service to communities in need.
