We are very grateful to have recently received funding and IT equipment from FRRR (Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal) towards two of our programs.
We received a small grant for our one-on-one tutoring and mentoring program, through the FRRR Small Grants for Rural Communities Program. The donor supporting this program is The R.E Ross Trust. The program will provide additional at-home tutoring and academic assistance to Indigenous children in the Ballan and Ballarat areas who are struggling with their school work.
We also applied for funding for a financial literacy program in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne through the ANZ Seeds of Renewal Program, and were very lucky to receive two laptops and a tablet from ANZ information technology partner Lenovo. This IT equipment will be made available for use at our homework club in the Bacchus Marsh & Darley area, for educational purposes and to improve financial literacy skills through games and resources.
