Home > VIC > Book donation and presentation at Mount Eliza Secondary College

We were delighted to recently receive a donation of nearly 500 books towards our Books for Learning program from Mount Eliza Secondary College in Victoria. The Year 11 students organised a book drive for our foundation, which was wonderfully supported by staff and family members.

Aboriginal Literacy Foundation CEO David Perrin visited the school on Tuesday 28th October, to speak at the morning assembly about our foundation, and acknowledge the fantastic efforts of the students who have supported our work to improve literacy outcomes for Indigenous youth.

We wish to give special thanks to Lizzie (Year 11 student) and Bree Hudson (Head of Year 11) for their efforts in organising the book drive and the presentation.

We are grateful that Mount Eliza staff and students will continue to support The Aboriginal Literacy Foundation in the future.
